What the app stores on your device
Filler stores app settings, your current computer game, and a local online win count on your device. If you join an online room, the app also saves a temporary room credential so you can reconnect from the same device. The app does not require a name, email address, or account to play.
Online rooms
When you create or join a room, the game sends room actions to a Cloudflare-hosted service. The service holds the room code, current board and scores, player seats, and credentials needed to accept moves and reconnect players. The other player can see the shared game state and room code. Rooms are for two people.
A room waiting for its second player expires after about 30 minutes. Once both players join, it expires after about 24 hours. Room data is deleted when the room expires. We do not keep a cloud match history or a server-side win count.
Notifications
If you enable game notifications, Filler gets a push token for your device and associates it with your active room. It uses that token to alert you when your friend joins or when it is your turn while you are away. Notifications are delivered through Expo, Apple Push Notification service, or Firebase Cloud Messaging, depending on your device. You can turn them off in Filler settings or your device settings.
The room stops using your token when you leave, turn notifications off, or the room expires. A notification may still be delivered if it was already being processed.
Service providers and network information
Cloudflare runs the online room service and may process connection information such as your IP address for delivery, security, and rate limiting. Expo and the device push provider process notification delivery information when notifications are enabled. Their handling of service logs follows their own policies. Filler does not use in-app advertising or third-party analytics and does not sell your game data.
This policy describes the Filler app. Visiting this Lorde Builds website is separate from playing the game and may generate ordinary website analytics.
Sharing and deletion
Sharing a room invitation uses your device's share options. The app you choose to share with handles the invitation after you send it.
You can leave an online room in the app. Its temporary server data is removed when the room expires. Deleting Filler from your device removes its locally stored game data and win count; offloading the app may preserve data. For a privacy request, contact us at the address below.
